START THE PILOT TRAINING JOURNEY
FLIGHT TRAINING
Pilots are required to learn continuously. Even after cadets master basic flight skills, training continues with every new aircraft and role throughout their careers.

Atlas Cadet Academy is designed to provide the necessary education and skills that will enable students to be prepared both technically and professionally for career* opportunities flying at Atlas. Ground school courses further equip students with the academic knowledge and standardized practices to perform flight duties safely and efficiently.
MILESTONES
Private Pilot Certificate
Cadets start by earning a private pilot certificate. This is when aspiring pilots learn to fly an aircraft. Training occurs on Cessna 172s equipped with Garmin G1000 avionics.
Instrument Rating
Once a candidate has their private pilot certificate, they may earn their instrument rating. This demonstrates a pilot’s ability to fly through weather conditions that require navigation with instruments.
Commercial Pilot Certificate
This certificate allows candidates to receive payment for flying. Achieving this milestone is key to building flight hours and working toward the required Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
Multi-Engine Rating
A multi-engine rating builds on the commercial pilot certificate. Candidates may train in a twin-engine Piper Aztec at higher speeds and altitudes.
Certified Flight Instructor
As a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), candidates may build flight hours while training new Atlas cadets and independent students.
Certified Flight Instructor Instrument
As a Certified Flight Instructor - Instrument (CFII), CFIs may use their experience to train cadets for their instrument rating.
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Certifications and Ratings are considered third-party and are not guaranteed.*
